Platforms should support the most popular shortcuts. Redoing them does not serve any practical purpose. When Cmd + K is the search shortcut in Slack, Notion, Telegram, etc. and was initially supported by Google Chat, what purpose does changing this shortcut serve? Increases the cognitive load for the users.

One of the things that fast-tracked the migration of a lot of engineers from Sublime to VS Code was that it came with built-in support for Sublime shortcuts, something many engineers have been using for a decade and senior engineers for more than that.
